Your Rights in Christ Jesus – By Apostle Gabriel-Wealth Olatuja

YOUR RIGHTS IN CHRIST JESUS – Gabriel-Wealth Olatuja

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. (Luke 4:18)

The word “Liberty” as used in Luke 4:18 means to release those that were bruised. The word “liberty” has two meanings. Liberty as in Luke 4:18 means to set free, to release while liberty in Galatians 2:4 means right or authority, a legal right. We have freedom that empowers us with a legal right.

In Galatians 4:7 the bible says, “Thou art no more a servant but a son”. A son has rights that the servants do not have.

The servant might not have information concerning his masters business but the son does.

These rights can be categorized into the three:

1.   the right to choose

2.   the right to live and

3.   the right to rule.

1. The right to choose

Deuteronomy 30:19: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before your life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

Philippians 1:21 – 25 says, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

As a New Creation in Christ, you have the right to choose. Christianity is not a religion were you lose your right to choose. You have the right to choose between life and death, but the unbeliever is subjected to death already, He has no right he is under bondage.

Many instances have shown that many are ignorant of their rights in this life. Some say, maybe God put the sickness on me to make me humble, but that is absolutely wrong because His will for us is to prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers (3 John 2).

2. The right to live

In John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

In 2 Tim 1:10, the bible says, our Saviour Jesus Christ has abolished death and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

Because we have believed in Jesus Christ, we have the right to live. The bible says, whoever believes in him shall never. This is because we have been crucified with Christ and therefore the life, which we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God. Death is by choice!

3. The right to rule

Romans 5:17 Says, For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign[rule] in life by one, Jesus Christ.

The bible says we are kings and priests, and as kings we have the right to rule. To reign means to rule, to govern.  We must walk with the mentality of a king, a peculiar people and a chosen generation. God has given us the divine ability to cause changes. As kings our words are powerful when we speak, we speak words of power.  The bible says, “Ye are gods” (Psalms 82:6). So, you don’t have an option than to rule.

*DECLARATIONS* (Repeat after me).

With The authority I have in Christ Jesus, I choose live and not death! I choose health and not sickness! I choose prosperity and not poverty. I live in liberty and not bondage in Jesus name.

I reign in, rule and govern my world. Halleluiah! I am a king. Therefore, I walk in power and I cause positive change in my world in Jesus name!
