Why are Nigerians Religious but Nigeria still Very Backwards?

Why is it that we especially Christians in Nigeria are doing so much, preaching, praying, faithful, establising churches everywhere and even sponsoring the gospel to other nations but it seems to have no impact in our nation, government, our behaviours and all aspects of our society?

Why is it that with all the religious activities and beliefs, Nigeria is, still very backward while the nations where we're sponsoring the gospel are living next to heaven?

See reason here 👉🏻 We have all the spiritual, moral and religious trainings in the church, but we don't know how to implement them to cause a turn around in our society. Most of us don't know how to translate our Christian experience into value that can impact our society positively.

All we do is learn and learn, have faith, etc but fail to make no impact outside the church. So many of what we learnt, the power that we're supposed to dissipate into the society are all inside us, unused. Jesus didn't create church for us to go there and become members or learners forever. He trained the apostles and, sent them out to go and  make impact. But that not exactly what we're doing today.

So many God-given talents, skills, abilities, enablements that are supposed to be used to impact our, societies are wasting away, lying fallow and unused in the church.

All of us, can't be pastors or church leaders even if we have all be called to preach the gospel. Some, of us have been called to be solution providers to industries, economies, some have been called to become politicians to lead good governance, some of us, have been called to become chiefs and kings in communities and palaces, some have been called to be job creators, some have been called as farmers to feed the nation. Some have been called to become change makers in the security sector.

All these people I mentioned were in the Bible that we read. There were kings, Queens, chiefs, security men, and any of the good roles that, can contribute positively to any sector of the society in your Bible. We refuse to take up these roles thinking that our only duty as Christians is to preach.

It becomes a problem when we all preach and not doing. It's the consequences that were seeing in Nigeria. So many of those in the helm of affairs in this nation are Christians whom you will always find in one church or the other. Yet in their hands, things have become bad that only God can turn around...

So many of us Christians have failed to translate our God-given potential into purpose, that would impact our society positively. All we talk about and think about is church church church, ministry ministry ministry. We leave the governance and society for those we think are corrupt than us, unknowingly we leave our entire lives for them to control.

We forget that one, single order or bill by these we allow to rule us can hinder us from practicing our Christian beliefs. How many of you were allowed to attend church services during the Covid-19 lock down? I can remember when security agencies locked up worship centers. So where is the power? We need to wake up.

We need to all rise up and take our place in our nation and stop all this ministry ministry mindset and displaying "I don't care" attitudes towards our nation. Your church or ministry cannot exist in the cloud. It is still in this geographical location or targeting some, segments of people here.

Your church or ministry can't survive where there's war. God created you to be here on this part of the earth to have dominion and not to live as a disadvantaged. God, didn't create you to be in Nigeria for you to be dominated by others. It's time we all take national affairs seriously. Election time is here. It's only Christians that will stay at home and won't vote thinking is the kingdom work only that matters

Prayers answer but prayers without action won't give an expected result. People get robbed on their ways to or from church, many injured. Yet they still think their society doesn't matter. We need to wake up from our slumber and fulfill our purpose of God creating us to rule here.
